What is the I Wanna Love You trend?
Updated:
Short answer
It is a lip-sync trend from autumn 2026. Someone in a suit films a night-time selfie outside a floodlit tennis court, sings the opening of an old R&B love song with total devotion, throws one hand in the air and reaches for the lens. AI cat versions made it huge. MimicZip makes the AI version from your photo.

Where it started
On 29 September 2026 the creator @primeclippss_ posted a 19-second clip: a man in a pink checked suit, a blond bowl-cut wig and a curled moustache sings to his front camera outside a floodlit tennis court, throws a hand up, falls back onto the grass and gets up again. It reached about 22 million views.
How the cats took over
On 1 October @novoreel posted a 10-second AI version: a white cat in a mustard corduroy suit and burgundy tie copies the selfie, the raised paw and the paw thrust at the lens. It reached about 23.6 million views and 3.5 million likes. The same account followed with orange and black cats, other pet accounts made their own, and a capped orange cat by @fluffyfishlover reached about 7 million. Counts are our readings from 22 October 2026, not audited figures.
What stays the same in every version
- A suit and a selfie at arm’s length, filmed from slightly below.
- A floodlit outdoor tennis court at night behind the singer.
- A soulful, over-the-top lip-sync of the song’s opening.
- One hand or paw thrown high in the air, then pushed at the lens.
