What is the pet fridge cake heist trend?

Updated:

Short answer

It is an AI video trend from October 2026. A hidden camera inside the fridge catches a pet scooping a whole tray of tiramisu with a spoon; the door shuts, and when it opens again the tray is licked clean. An AI white cat version went viral, and dog and adult versions followed.

Where it came from

The fridge-POV joke started earlier: a 2024 “POV: you have siblings” clip passed 54 million views, and in June 2026 a real couple hid a camera in their fridge to catch a cheesecake thief.

On 17 October 2026 @florinsbn5 posted an AI white cat eating tiramisu, at about 1.3 million views when we checked on 23 October 2026. On 19 October a chihuahua version with the door-shut ending and an adult version at about 1 million views followed.

Why people copy it

  • It reads in one second: a security cam and a thief.
  • The ending lands: the door opens on an empty tray.
  • Pets with spoons are funny: and one pet photo is all it needs.

The viral cat clip used a tray of tiramisu, and most remakes kept it.

How long is the clip?

Our full video is 15 seconds, like the chihuahua version it follows.
