Does the Hit the Road Dude AI video use the original audio?
Updated:
Short answer
No. Our video does not use the original audio. The four lines are spoken by new AI voices, with quiet outdoor sound such as birds, a light breeze and an idling engine. There is no music. If you want the original sound, add it inside TikTok or Instagram when you post.

What you hear
The Driver says âWho said you could fish here?â, an off-camera young man answers âI thought this was state propertyâ, the Driver repeats âState?â and then says âHit the road, dude.â The lips are asked to move in time with each line.
Everything is generated with the video, so voices and timing differ between runs. There is no song in this meme, only speech.
Add your own sound in four steps
- Download the version without sound from My videos.
- Start a new post in TikTok, Reels or Shorts and choose the video.
- Pick a sound from the appâs own sound library, or record your own voice.
- Set the volume and post.
About licensing
The original clipâs audio is another personâs recording. Platforms license their sound libraries for use inside their own apps, so picking a sound there is the intended route. We cannot give legal advice, and you remain responsible for what you post.
