Smalltown Boy AI video: the Lead and the Partner are swapped, how do I fix it?
Updated:
Short answer
Roles follow the photo boxes: the first box is the Lead, who screams at the lens first, and the second is the Partner, who dances behind. Remember that the scene swaps them halfway on purpose. If the start looks reversed, press Swap photos in the generator, then run the free 5-second preview to confirm.

Why it happens
- Photos in the wrong boxes: the most common cause by far.
- The swap is part of the scene: after the hard cut the Partner screams and the Lead dances behind. That is not a bug.
- Similar subjects: two subjects with similar fur, hair and clothes are easier to mix up.
How to fix it
Check the labels above the boxes, swap the photos if needed and run the preview. If the pair still blends together, pick photos with different backgrounds and colours. The generator shows the role names next to each box.
Questions people ask
Where is the Swap photos button?
It sits in the generator under the two photo boxes and works once both photos are added.
Does swapping cost anything?
No. Swapping only changes the inputs before you start a run. A run starts when you press the make button.
Can I change roles after the video is done?
No. A finished video is fixed. To change roles, start a new run with the photos swapped.
