Can a cat, a dog or a friend do the Ramalama walk?
Updated:
Short answer
Yes. The star can be you, an adult friend who agreed, a cat, a dog or another pet. A pet walks upright on its hind legs in a tiny version of the costume and gets the same tilt-up reveal. It is one subject per video, so groups are not supported.
Who can be the star
- You: the classic version.
- A friend: an adult who agreed to the video.
- A pet: cats and dogs with a clear, front-facing face work best.
- A toy or drawing you own: it comes to life in the costume.
Pets in costume
AI cats in costumes are the 2026 twist on this trend. Pick any costume: the pet wears a small version of it and struts toward the camera on two legs. See the pet page.
What about groups?
Some viral versions show three or four friends walking together. This template makes a solo walk from one photo; make one video per friend and post them as a series.
Questions people ask
Can two pets walk together?
Not in one video. Upload one pet per video.
Can I use a photo of a child?
No. Only adults, pets, and toys or drawings you own can be uploaded.
Will a dog look as good as a cat?
Usually yes, if the face is sharp and turned to the camera. Results vary more with pets, so watch the preview first.
