What is the AI vampire Spooky Scary Skeletons trend?
Updated:
Short answer
It is the 2026 twist on the skeleton dance: an AI-made vampire in a black suit and a red-lined cape dances under a giant orange moon with bats, bare trees and pumpkins. Anime fan editors started it around 8 October 2026. MimicZip makes the same look from one photo of you or your pet.
How the anime edits did it
Fan editors made a character into a caped vampire with an AI image tool, turned that image into a short dance clip, laid it over an orange-moon Halloween background and cut it into a fast edit of manga panels and anime scenes. @teenagerlovepill posted one of the first on 8 October 2026, and @n1me.yoshikage’s version from 10 October reached about 2.8 million views.
A tutorial by @cn.plates on 10 October showed the steps in CapCut, which helped the format spread.
What MimicZip does differently
- One photo in, one finished clip out: no green screen and no layering in an editor.
- The suit, the cape, the moon, the bats and the pumpkins are part of the scene.
- The dance runs for the full 11 seconds instead of a short insert.
- Your own face, not a copyrighted character.
Using it in your own edit
Download the clip and drop it into CapCut or any editor, the same way the fan edits use their vampire insert. You can cut it short, add text or put it between other clips.
Questions people ask
Can I make my favourite anime character into the vampire?
Not here. Famous characters belong to their owners, and the photo check blocks them. Your own drawing of an original character is fine.
Why an orange moon and pumpkins?
That backdrop is what made the edits recognisable as Halloween at a glance. Every MimicZip video uses the same look.
Is the vampire version the same dance?
Yes. It is the same skeleton dance with the kicks, the stiff elbows and the hip shakes, just in a cape.
