What is the Corpse Bride trend?

Where it came from

The post we follow is @effiie97’s video of 29 October 2026 (about 366,000 views, 22 seconds). The trend takes its look from the stop-motion film Corpse Bride, whose couple the posts imitate with photos turned into puppets.

What happens in the clip

• 0–2s: The bride fills the frame, eyes shut and a hand over her face, as if she cannot believe it.
• 2–4s: Her eyes snap open and she reaches a hand toward the camera, mouth open.
• 4–6s: The camera glides to the groom, who clutches his head with both hands, dizzy and wide-eyed.
• 6–8s: The camera pulls back: the couple stand together with the moon behind them and strike a pose.
• 8–10s: Both lean toward the lens and wave a hand at the camera, then hold the pose.

Why people try it

It is funny and a little spooky at the same time: a very serious gothic couple panic and then pose like a photo shoot. It is new and tied to Halloween, so we cannot say how long it will last.
