What is the Prank Mask trend?
Prank Mask, also called the Face Mask Peel Off or the Old Face Mask Prank, is a six-second reveal: someone pinches their face, it turns into a wrinkled old face with a shocked expression, and they peel the old-face mask off from the chin up to show their own face. It spread as a CapCut template named Prank Mask by @Kim Hoa, at about 69,900 uses when we looked on the evening of 29 October 2026.
We found the trend on one account only. On 27 October 2026 @shyo890 posted a tutorial for the template, about 316,000 views and labelled by TikTok as AI-generated, and on 29 October the same account posted a second one, about 28,000 views. We did not find other creators’ versions, so this is a small trend. Counts were not audited.
MimicZip makes your own version from one photo of an adult, following the adult peel-off part of the first post, stretched from about 2.6 seconds to 5. The mask is a thin rubber one that comes off clean. This is an internet meme. MimicZip has no link to the account that posted it.
