What is the Cricket Six trend?

Where it came from

The post we follow is @sarahperviz0’s video of 21 October 2026 (about 18.8 million views, 11 seconds), real footage with no AI label. The same account posted an evening version on 20 October (about 2.8 million), and another account’s tutorial for a template of the scene has about 2.3 million views.

What happens in the clip

• 0–2s: You stand side-on in front of the stumps, the bat held low in both hands, bending slightly and looking ahead.
• 2–4s: You rock your weight back and lift the bat a little, waiting for the ball.
• 4–6s: You step forward and swing the bat hard through the ball in a wide arc, and a little dust lifts from the ground.
• 6–8s: You follow through as the ball flies out of the frame, then freeze with the bat up.

Why people try it

It is satisfying to watch: a calm stance, a huge swing and a freeze, with the ball already gone. It is very big and still new, so we cannot say how long it will last.
