Birds of a Feather AI: price, photos, free options and FAQ
Updated:
Short answer
No subscription, and credits never expire. The Birds of a Feather clip costs 1 credit per 10-second 720p video with no watermark (the wide shot, the close-ups, the drifting feet and the head tilt): a pack of 1 costs $8.99, 3 cost $16.99, 5 cost $25.99. Each pack includes watch-only previews.
What the credit pays for
A credit pays for one finished clip: the wide shot, the close-ups, the drifting feet and the head tilt, 10 seconds in all. The options (six places, five outfits, five lights and five floats) make no difference to the price. The price comes to about $8.99, $5.66 or $5.20 a clip.
A short clip leaves room for a second try
If the close-ups change your face, try again with a sharper photo in which your hair is off your eyes, and compare the two clips. A credit always buys the whole sequence: the wide shot, the close-ups, the drifting feet and the head tilt. With 3 or 5 videos in a pack you can try another photo or option, and credits you do not use carry over to any template on MimicZip.
Previews, refunds, renewals
- Bundled previews: 1 ($8.99), 3 ($16.99) and 5 ($25.99). They are not free and cannot be downloaded.
- If a run fails, the credit comes back without a request.
- Packs you have not used qualify for a refund in the first 7 days (refund policy); spent credits do not.
- No renewal, ever.
Is there a free Birds of a Feather AI video generator?
No. MimicZip has no free Birds of a Feather version and no free preview. A finished 10-second 720p clip costs 1 credit and packs start at $8.99; the clip covers the wide shot, the close-ups, the drifting feet and the head tilt. Every pack includes watch-only previews, and there is no subscription.
The original trend on TikTok, and what is free there
The trend is a 14-second TikTok by @battos13 from 27 October 2026, with a small post with 879 views: a person floats in a chair over a green carpet with hair spread out, mouthing a song to the lens. You can watch it for nothing on TikTok.
What we sell is a version made from your own photo. Our clip is 10 seconds, a short stretch, and the floating chair, the office and the carpet are made for you.
What a Birds of a Feather run takes
- Photos: one sharp close-up of one adult, pet, toy or drawn character, with the hair or fur visible. No children.
- Free choices: 9:16 or 16:9, six places (green-carpet office by default), five outfits (dotted black top by default), five lights and five floats.
- Cost: 1 credit for the 10-second 720p clip, without a watermark. $8.99 buys 1 video, $16.99 buys 3 and $25.99 buys 5.
- Previews: 1 in the $8.99 pack, 3 in the $16.99 pack and 5 in the $25.99 pack. A preview is the same 5-second scene at 480p, with a PREVIEW badge, and cannot be downloaded.
Why this is a paid tool
Everything around you is generated (the office, the carpet and the chair are generated), and each render uses a paid AI video model, so there is no free version. MimicZip is independent and not made, endorsed or licensed by @battos13.
What photo works for a Birds of a Feather AI video?
Upload one clear close-up of one subject looking at the camera in good light, with the whole face and the hair or fur visible. The camera goes very close and the hair spreads out, so an open face helps. Files must be JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB, with each side between 300 and 6000 pixels.
File rules
- JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB.
- Each side between 300 and 6000 pixels.
- Width-to-height ratio between 0.4 and 2.5.
What makes a good photo
- One subject, alone in the photo, looking at the camera.
- Close-up or chest-up: the camera goes close to the face.
- Hair or fur visible, so the model can spread it out around you.
- Good light and a plain background; the model copies your colours.
Who you may upload
The person in the chair must be an adult who agreed to appear, or else your pet, a toy or a drawn character; children and celebrities are blocked. See the photo consent rules and the acceptable use policy.
Can I change the the place, the outfit, the light and the float in a Birds of a Feather AI video?

The camera moves, the room, the chair and the order of the beats are the same in every option, and the person in the chair is always your photo. The options do not change the price.

Questions people ask
Do credits expire?
No. A credit is yours until you spend it.
Will I be charged again automatically?
No. There is no recurring billing; each pack is paid once.
Can I get a refund?
Only an unused pack, inside 7 days. Once a credit has produced a clip, it is not refundable.
What does a failed video cost?
Nothing. The credit is returned to you automatically when a generation fails.
Do I need a credit card for a free preview?
No. You can look at the options (pick a place, an outfit, the light and a float) with one photo of an adult, pet, toy or drawn character before paying; you pay once, at checkout, when you choose a pack.
Can I watch the original for free?
Yes. The original post by @battos13 plays on TikTok, and this page links to it. We only make your own version from your photo.
Is the preview the whole clip?
Close. A preview shows the same 5-second scene at 480p instead of 720p, so you can check your photo first. It carries a badge and cannot be downloaded.
Can I use a photo of the singer or of the person in the original?
No. Photos of celebrities, singers or famous characters are blocked, and so is anyone who looks like a child. Use yourself, an adult friend who agreed, or your pet.
Does the photo need an office behind?
No. The office, the carpet and the chair are generated, so any background works.
How long is my photo kept?
It is stored privately and deleted automatically 14 days after upload.
Do the options cost more?
No. The price is the same for every option.
Are the options tested?
The defaults are the ones the scene was written around; the others are marked New in the generator and have not been run on their own yet.
Can I type my own option?
No. This template has presets only, with no free-text prompt.
