Where it came from

The original ad dates from 1984 and reached YouTube in 2009, and it has been a favourite joke online since about 2016. The AI wave began on 23 October 2026 with a CapCut template, a cat version by @aitrenddrop and the version we follow by @grannyann33, at about 362,000 views and labelled AI-generated by TikTok. Counts were read on 30 October 2026 and not audited.
