What is the Parrot Dance trend?
Updated:
Short answer
It is a TikTok format from 20 to 21 October 2026: a barn stage, one lead dancer and a huge flock of parrots in white diapers copying its hip swings and wing flaps. The 21 October post has about 8.6 million views. It is AI-made, and in our version your own pet takes the lead.
Where it came from
The same account, @kennyslowbird, posted two parrots dancing on a beach on 20 October 2026 (about 285,000 views), then the barn version on 21 October (about 8.6 million views). A raccoon version followed on 22 October (about 704,000) and a sequel on 26 October (about 950,000). The author’s hashtags name an AI video tool, and the platform marks some of the posts as AI.
What happens in the clip
- 0–1 seconds: your pet stands centre stage facing the camera, the flock packed behind it.
- 1–3 seconds: a wide squat, hips swinging, wings or front paws out.
- 3–5 seconds: fast flaps up over the head while the flock copies.
- 5–7 seconds: a sweeping turn to show the back and the tail.
- 7–10 seconds: the dance goes on with its back to the camera, among the flock.
Why people try it
It is funny because of the contrast: dozens of serious parrots in diapers copy one leader perfectly. Because it is new and very big, we cannot say how long it will last.
