Red Riding Hood AI: price, photos, free options and FAQ
Updated:
Short answer
There is no subscription. One credit makes one 10-second 720p Red Riding Hood video with no watermark, and you buy credits in packs: $8.99 for 1 video, $16.99 for 3, $25.99 for 5. Credits never lapse, and each pack includes watch-only previews.

What the credit covers
- One walk: a 10-second 720p clip with music and footsteps.
- Every preset: six forests, five cloaks and five wolf packs cost the same as the default.
- Per clip: roughly $8.99, $5.66 or $5.20, depending on the pack.
A pack as a small experiment
Take 3 or 5 and walk the same cloak through a snowy forest, an autumn forest and a moonlit one, then keep the best clip. What is left can be spent on any template on MimicZip.
Previews and the refund window
Each pack also brings watch-only previews (1, 3 or 5). They are a bonus. A pack that has not been used can be refunded within 7 days; see the refund policy.
Is a Red Riding Hood AI video free to make here?
No. On MimicZip, Red Riding Hood has no free tier and no free preview. One finished 10-second 720p video costs 1 credit, packs start at $8.99, and each pack includes watch-only previews for testing your photo. There is no subscription.

Other routes
Filming it for real is out of reach for most people: it needs a snowy forest, a cloak and a pack of wolves that behave. Template apps may have a similar scene, and their plans may be free or paid; we have not checked.
MimicZip gives you your own face or pet in the cloak, with the forest, colour and pack you choose.
Per run
- Photo: one, of a person or a pet.
- Presets: six forests, five cloaks, five wolf packs, 9:16 or 16:9.
- Cost: $8.99 for 1, $16.99 for 3, $25.99 for 5; 10 seconds at 720p each.
- Previews: 1, 3 and 5 bonus previews, 5 seconds at 480p, watch-only.
Why there is a price
Every clip is rendered by a paid AI video model, with sound. A render that fails returns its credit, and an unused pack can go back within 7 days.
Which photo works for a Red Riding Hood AI video?
Use one sharp, well-lit photo of a single person or pet facing the camera, from the head down to at least the chest, with the face uncovered. Children, group photos and pictures with no clear subject are not accepted. JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB, 300 to 6000 pixels per side.

Photos that work
- One person or pet, facing the camera, with the whole face lit.
- From the head down to the chest or lower, so the cloak can be fitted.
- A plain background, because the forest replaces it.
- For a pet: a clear face and some of the body, so the cloak can lie on its back.
Photos to avoid
- Anyone under 18.
- Group photos, sunglasses, masks, hats pulled low or heavy filters.
- A hood or hat already covering the head, which fights with the cloak's hood.
- Celebrities, anyone who has not agreed, or frames taken from another video.
Questions people ask
Do credits run out?
No, they stay for as long as your account exists.
Is anything charged monthly?
No. A pack is paid once.
What if the render fails?
The credit returns automatically.
Is a card needed before I try it?
No. A card is only used at checkout when you pick a pack.
The page said my free preview was used. Is that still the case?
No. Free previews are off for everyone; each pack carries bonus previews instead.
Does the preview have the hood scene?
It shows the opening only, watch-only; the full video is 720p and downloadable.
Does the outfit in my photo matter?
Not much. The cloak is put on top of whatever you wear.
Can I use a selfie?
A selfie works if it is sharp and shows the shoulders; a photo that shows more of the body helps the cloak fit.
Does my pet need to stand up?
No. The pet walks on four legs, so standing or sitting photos both work.
