What is the Boyfriend Picks You Up trend?

By MimicZip Team · Updated:

Short answer

A photo becomes a side-view car ride: the driver steers an open-top car along an autumn road and, with a cut every second or two, appears in a new outfit each time, five looks in a row. The post we follow is from 28 October 2025.

Where it came from

The post we follow is @andreas.cyrill’s video of 28 October 2025, with about 5.9 million views. The same account posted a spring follow-up on 18 March 2026, and @nbao.t made a version on 22 April 2026.

What happens in the clip

  • 0–2s: You drive along a tree-lined road in the first outfit, both hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road.
  • 2–8s: The shot cuts every second or two, and each time you are in a new outfit, in the same seat and at almost the same angle.
  • 8–10s: The final cut shows the fifth outfit, and you keep driving as the road rolls by.

Why people try it

It looks like a phone-filmed ride: a low side angle, a moving road and quick cuts. The car, the road and the outfits are drawn by the AI around your photo.
