Dog Dance Crew AI: price, photos, free options and FAQ
Updated:
Short answer
There is no subscription. Credits are bought once, never expire, and 1 credit makes one 15-second 720p Dog Dance Crew clip from a single pet photo, with no watermark. Choose $8.99 for 1, $16.99 for 3 or $25.99 for 5 videos; every pack comes with watch-only previews.

One pet leads, so one pet per credit
Each clip has a single lead dancer in a row of four: your pet plus a Dalmatian, an English Bulldog and a Siberian Husky who are always the same. The crew is part of the joke, so it carries no surcharge, and the stage (six, from black mirror to red curtain), the dressing (six, from none to a gold chain) and the colour tone are free choices. A clip works out at about $8.99, $5.66 or $5.20.
Pets and packs
A household with a dog, a cat and a rabbit needs one credit for each of them to lead, since cats and small pets move softer than dogs. Larger packs lower the cost per clip, and credits can also go to any other template on MimicZip.
Previews, refunds and billing
Previews are part of the pack, not free: 1 with $8.99, 3 with $16.99, 5 with $25.99. A generation that fails returns its credit automatically, and a pack you have not touched can be refunded in its first 7 days (see the refund policy). A clip that finished stays paid, and nothing renews.
Is there a free Dog Dance Crew AI video generator?
No. Dog Dance Crew has no free generator and no free preview on MimicZip. One finished 15-second 720p clip with your pet leading a row of four costs 1 credit, and packs start at $8.99. Every pack includes watch-only previews so you can check the pet photo first. No subscription.

Free ways to make a dog crew, and what they leave out
The trend has a free hand-made cousin: @chanel_ed1t's Dancing Puppy Crew, posted on 7 October 2026 and edited in CapCut, with five puppies in a living room. Editing your own clip that way costs nothing but time, and we have not checked what any app's free plan includes today. The black-stage version that spread is a locked-off AI shot of four dogs.
A hand edit cannot put your pet in that shot. Here your photo takes the second spot in the row, where the golden retriever stands in the viral clip, between a Dalmatian on the far left and an English Bulldog and a Siberian Husky on the right, all four bowing, nodding and whipping their heads in sync.
What a Dog Dance Crew run takes
- One pet photo: the lead dancer, nose to paws if possible, looking at the camera. Dogs, cats and other pets work; people do not.
- Free options: 9:16 or 16:9, one of six stages (black mirror, neon, living room, lawn and more), a dressing choice for the lead (none, bow tie, sunglasses, red collar and more) and a colour tone.
- Cost: 1 credit for 15 seconds at 720p, no watermark. $8.99 buys 1 video, $16.99 buys 3 and $25.99 buys 5.
- Previews: 1 with the $8.99 pack, 3 with the $16.99 pack and 5 with the $25.99 pack. Each lasts 5 seconds at 480p, carries a PREVIEW badge and cannot be downloaded.
Why there is no free version
Every clip is rendered by a paid AI video model. A failed run returns its credit automatically, credits never expire, nothing renews and an unused pack can be refunded within 7 days. MimicZip is independent and has no link to the people who posted the trend, TikTok or CapCut.
Which photo works best for a Dog Dance Crew video?
Use one photo of one pet with a sharp face, eyes open and good light. The model copies the fur colours and markings it can see, so a clear full-body or head-and-chest shot works better than a tiny pet far away.

Works well
- Full body or head and chest: the pet fills most of the photo.
- Facing the camera: both eyes visible.
- Natural colours: daylight, no beauty filters.
Avoid
- Two or more animals in one photo.
- Dark, blurry or motion-blurred shots.
- Screenshots of someone else’s clip.
Can my cat do the Dog Dance Crew trend?
Yes. A cat takes the lead spot among the three dogs, keeps its own fur and markings, and moves a little softer than the dogs: soft nods, slow head tilts and gentle sways on the same timing as the rest of the crew.

What the pet does
It stands in the second spot facing the camera and bows, nods and tilts its head with the dogs. For cats and other small pets the moves are gentler than the dogs’ big shakes.
Tips
- Short-nosed pets look best with the face straight on.
- Long-haired pets: pick a photo where the eyes are not hidden.
Questions people ask
Do credits expire?
No. Credits remain on your account for as long as you like.
Will I be charged again automatically?
No. You pay for a pack once, and no later charge follows.
Can I get a refund?
Yes for a pack you have not used, within 7 days of buying. Credits behind a finished clip are not refundable.
What does a failed video cost?
Nothing. The credit returns to your balance automatically if the generation fails.
Do I need a credit card for the free preview?
No card is asked for at login or when you add a pet photo, since there is no free preview. You pay once, at checkout, when you pick a pack.
Why does it say my free preview is used up?
Free previews are no longer offered on any account, so an old used-up message does not apply. Buy a pack and use its bonus previews to test your pet photo.
Is the preview the same as the full video?
No. It is the same stage and crew, but the 5-second preview runs the bow, nods and shakes faster at 480p. Use it to check your pet's face; the 15-second video has all five beats.
Can the photo show my pet lying down?
Yes, as long as the face is clear. The video stands it up in the row anyway.
Does the background of my photo matter?
No. The stage comes from the option you pick.
Can I upload a photo with two pets?
Crop it down to the one pet that should lead. The template has a single lead dancer, so a photo with two animals is best avoided.
Will my cat look like it is really dancing?
It nods and tilts its head in time with the dogs. The result is gentler than the dogs’ moves.
Can two of my pets lead together?
Not in this template: it is made for one lead dancer.
Does it work for rabbits or parrots?
Yes. Rabbits, parrots and other pets with a clear face work too, with the same soft moves as a cat.
